Available dark - Abbey of Thelema, Exhibition at Larrys corner, Stockholm Sweden October 6

September 24, 2018
The Abbey of Thelema is Aliester Crowley's house in Cefalu, Sicily. It was his templeand residence on earth for 3 years. Rumors are many and you choose what to believe in
"The Abbey of Thelema is described as a sort of "anti-monastery" where the lives of the inhabitants were "spent not in laws, statutes, or rules, but according to their own free will and pleasure".
The feeling I had when I entered through the window was spooky in a frightening way, not only because I was there illegally and alone. Crowley's own murals are unfortunately almost completely gone, but little remains. The walls have got new paintings.
It rests a darkness, and a strange light that I didn't see on location. As a photographer I had to fight with the light, the darkness was all too well present ...

Early Death Ltd w special guest Mats Grönmark will open the exhibition with dark noise around 20.0666. But the Crowley door will open at 17.0666. The Skeleton factory will swarm and riot The corner before the exhibition, and most likely have intercourse with each other.

The exhibitions name Available dark is borrowed from a book with the same title by the author Elizabeth Hand. The title was so true to what this is and to how I felt taking the pictures.

The lens I had mounted on my Leica MP was the 50mm Canon f/1,2 LTM. The film of choice was Kodak Portra 800. Most of the pictures was taken wide open or near by wide open, there was no other way.

I do very seldom use flash, I simply don’t like it, and we don’t wanna wake something up, do we
